"Converge is an expert in the field of higher education and our websites continue to succeed because Converge knows exactly who we are."
Amanda Buchfink, Web Strategist
Founded in 1878, Creighton University is one of only 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States. Creighton offers a top-ranked Jesuit education for more than 8,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students.
The University Communication & Marketing (UCOM) team was seeking a partner for a full redesign of the creighton.edu website and their nine school and college websites. Together, Converge and Creighton crafted SEO-optimized websites with storytelling content that articulated the Creighton University mission of developing men and women for others.

Converge and Creighton formed a strategic partnership to reimagine the creighton.edu website, which was home to more than 5,000 pages of web content. Campus discovery visits with key stakeholders, faculty, administrators and the UCOM team allowed Converge to better understand the school’s long-term goals and needs for the website.

Each website redesign started with a campus discovery visit to interview key stakeholders—prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty and staff. During these discussions, Converge gathered demographic data and qualitative insights to craft fully-developed User Personas for every school and college on campus.
Once personas were identified, Creighton and Converge collaborated to develop Information Architectures to establish consistency and ease of web governance across all schools and colleges.
Content assessments were conducted for each new site, along with wireframes and content templates to guide implementation. The end result was a beautifully-designed, responsive website with a strong user experience (UX) for prospective students, current students, faculty, parents and the Creighton community.
Keyword Research & SEO
Keyword research was conducted in relation to programmatic offerings, and each site was optimized for search. Converge implemented industry best practices for search engine optimization (SEO) through three tactics: technical, thematic and on-page.
The Creighton and Converge teams partnership extended well beyond the launch of each website. Monthly SEO reporting was setup through custom Google Analytics dashboards so the teams could monitor the success and ROI of their efforts.
Men and Women for Others is at the heart of Creighton University’s mission. This message was threaded throughout each website to tell the Creighton story. Converge interviewed exceptional students and alumni to provide a first-hand perspective in web testimonials.
Thematic keyword research around Jesuit education, service learning, leadership and Omaha allowed the teams to craft strategic content with a meaningful message.
